Our Story

About QCN

We are a Toronto-based nonprofit building community, celebrating culture, and advocating for LGBTQ+ Caribbean people.

Our Mission

The Queer Caribbean Network exists to build a visible, supported, and celebrated community for LGBTQ+ people of Caribbean heritage in Toronto and across the diaspora.

We recognize that being both queer and Caribbean can mean navigating multiple worlds — family structures, cultural expectations, immigration systems, and communities that often feel siloed. QCN is the space where those worlds meet, with joy at the center.

Through events, programming, resources, and advocacy, we work to ensure that no one has to choose between their Caribbean identity and their queer identity.

Community-First

Every decision we make centers the lived experiences and expressed needs of our community.

Culturally Rooted

Caribbean culture — in all its regional diversity — is celebrated, not minimized, in our spaces.

Globally Minded

We serve Toronto but we think across the diaspora — Caribbean LGBTQ+ people are everywhere.
